Mastering a track for a release target, formatting a file for print, the substance is already set, and only the form is tuned for delivery. The Finisher prepares the work to land in its destination. What separates the Finisher from a Refiner is that a Refiner changes the work toward a verdict, while the Finisher changes only its form for delivery.
