film:executive-producer

Financed and championed the project to get it made.

An executive producer helps a film become makeable. During early development they secure financing, obtain the underlying rights, and attach major talent to the project. Their work produces a funded, approved film ready to be made. They take an early idea, a script, and a forming package from writers and producers, then hand the financed project to the producer, line producer, and director who run daily production. The executive producer supplies the resources and the go-ahead that let a film begin.
