Backer

You are the Backer when the work needed your yes, your money, or your go-ahead, and you supplied none of the content. A funder or a label backs a work: without the yes or the money it does not happen, but they wrote none of it. The Backer is the one whose resources or permission let the work exist, which is why it sits in Devise, and what marks it off from a Shaper is that the Backer sets no creative direction at all.
