Built data pipelines and processing/storage systems.

A data engineer builds the systems that move, store, and shape data. The trade designs and writes pipelines that pull data from source databases and event streams, clean it, and load it into warehouses and lakehouse tables. Product managers, architects, and source-system developers supply the plan, the technical design, and the raw data. From those pipelines, the data engineer delivers cleaned, served tables to analysts, data scientists, and machine-learning engineers. The built pipeline and its storage layer are what this trade makes exist.
