music:arranger

Arranged an existing composition into a new version.

An arranger takes an existing composition and reworks it into a new version. They add instruments, write introductions and endings, develop countermelodies, reharmonize sections, and reshape the structure. The result is an arrangement, written out as a score or a set of charts. The arranger receives the song from the composer and from the producer who sets the direction, then hands the finished arrangement to the orchestrator and the performers. This trade adds a fresh musical shape built from an existing work.
